As Chief Client & Services Officer and President, Cerner Government Services, Travis Dalton focuses on bringing value, innovation and outcomes to Cerner’s federal clients. He leads all aspects of Cerner’s federal business including strategy, growth, delivery, operations and talent development.

Travis leads Cerner’s work in implementing a new, interoperable electronic health record (EHR) for U.S. Departments of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA), a historic effort to create a lifetime of seamless care for nearly 20 million service members, veterans and their beneficiaries. Under Travis’ leadership, Cerner has delivered significant accomplishments, including DoD Initial Operating Capability, establishing VA enterprise standards for clinical workflows and the successful data migration of 78 billion health records of 23.5 million Veterans.

Since joining Cerner in 2001, Travis has held senior leadership roles across its finance, sales and consulting organizations, including head of consulting and operations for its Investor-Owned Division, which encompasses many of Cerner’s largest and most complex clients. Travis also led the development and growth of the consulting practice for Cerner’s West and Canada regions, delivered successful implementations at more than 400 facilities and drove key client engagements, including Cerner’s first full computerized physician order entry implementation.

Outside of Cerner, Travis is a member of the Military Committee of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, NoVetAlone Advisory Board and Host Committee for the Elizabeth Dole Hidden Heroes Foundation. In 2019, Travis was named Healthcare Executive of the Year by Washington Executive, and is a 2020 HillVets 100 honoree. Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Wright State University and Master of Public Administration from The Ohio State University.
