Peter Whiting

Peter Whiting is currently the EVP of Geoscience at CGG. Peter has over 25 years of experience in the geophysical industry, working with some of the leading companies in the field.

Peter started their career in 1984 as a Processing Geophysicist with GSI. Peter then moved to HGS in 1990, where they were Technical Supervisor of seismic data processing projects. In 1994, they became Centre Manager at Digicon. Peter then joined Veritas DGC in 1996 as VP Technology. In 2007, they joined CGGVeritas as EVP Processing & Imaging Product Line. In this role, they were in charge of Processing & Imaging global R&D and global coordination of the product line. Peter has been with CGG since 2009.

Peter Whiting has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Sydney. Peter also has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Geophysics and Seismology from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geophysics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Sydney.

They are on a team with Yuri Baidoukov - CFO, Eduardo Coutinho - Group General Counsel, and Hovey Cox - EVP, Marketing, Sales & Communications. Peter Whiting reports to Sophie Zurquiyah, CEO.
