Gena R. Weldon

Gena R. Weldon, MBA, CE, serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area since 2009, where responsibilities include driving organizational transformation across financial, operational, technological, and cultural dimensions. With a notable tenure marked by the launch of a flagship property following a natural disaster, Gena also previously held roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, leading 500 employees and overseeing a $15 million P&L. Earlier experience includes positions as Vice President of Finance & Administration and Controller at Valley Knit Inc., and a Medicare Field Auditor at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. Gena's educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Alabama and participation in several executive leadership programs through Goodwill Industries International.
