Melanie Merckx

Melanie Merckx is a seasoned supply chain professional with extensive experience in project management and process engineering across multiple regions, particularly in Latin America. Currently serving as the Supply Chain Director for CHEP since August 2014, Melanie has previously held significant roles at ABB, including Senior Project Manager for Wind Electrical Substations and Project Manager for Substation Automation Systems. With a strong background in managing complex projects from inception to completion, responsibilities included engineering, procurement, and stakeholder negotiation to ensure project delivery within budget and on time. Education includes an MBA from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar, further complemented by a trainee experience in quality assurance at PHILIPS in France.
