Dr. Robert Kelly

Dr. Robert Kelly is a seasoned pediatric surgeon with extensive experience at the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters since July 1994, where current roles include Consultant - Pediatric Surgeon and Vice President for Surgical Affairs, Surgeon-in-Chief. Dr. Kelly oversees surgical care across specialties and ensures the safety and availability of surgical teams. Additionally, Dr. Kelly serves as a Professor of Clinical Surgery and Pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School, leading the pediatric surgery division and instructing medical students and surgical residents while managing a clinical research fellowship. Previous positions include Chief Resident in Pediatric Surgery at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo and surgical residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Kelly holds an MD from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Spring Hill College.
