Binghong Chen

Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities

Binghong Chen has a strong background in research and applied science. They started their career in 2016 as a Research Intern at Carnegie Mellon University, where they worked with Dr. Pengtao Xie. In 2017, they joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Assistant, where they developed deep learning guided search algorithms for various applications.

Binghong also gained industry experience, starting with a role as a Research Assistant at Tsinghua University from 2014 to 2017, where they worked on a distributed algorithm for Group-Lasso. They then worked at Google twice as a Research Intern in 2021 and 2022, collaborating with various professionals and focusing on research and development.

In 2021, Binghong also interned at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they focused on machine learning research. They continued to explore research internships and joined Amazon in 2022 as an Applied Scientist Intern, working with Dr. Bunyamin Sisman and Dr. George Trimponias.

Currently, Binghong is working as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities, starting in 2023.

Binghong Chen completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science at Tsinghua University from 2013 to 2017. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Machine Learning at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2017 to 2022.
