Maria Iashvili

Maria Iashvili is a seasoned banking professional with over two decades of experience in trade, working capital sales, and client management, currently serving as Senior Vice President at Citi since October 2010, focused on the UK market. Maria has held significant roles within Citi, including leadership positions in Trade Client Management for EMEA and Trade Sales for Financial Institutions across Sub-Saharan Africa, managing extensive client portfolios and driving revenue growth. Prior to that, Maria was the Head of Financial Institutions and Non-Presence Countries at UBA Group and has also served in various capacities at Citi, including Relationship Manager and Credit Risk Management Associate, overseeing financial relationships and assessing credit risk across multiple African markets. Maria's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Georgian Technical University and certifications in Credit Management from the Institute of Bankers in South Africa, complemented by executive education at the University of the Witwatersrand.
