Mark Schmitz is executive vice president and chief operating officer at Citrix, where he leads global operations, IT, business intelligence, supply chain and the global office of transformation. Previously, Schmitz served as the senior vice president of business operations in the global sales and services organization, where he was responsible for go-to-market strategy, subscription transformation, sales operations, strategic deal development, training and enablement, and global renewals.

Schmitz joined Citrix from SAP, where he served as the senior vice president and chief operating officer for SAP’s human resource management business unit. In that role, he led business operations and was responsible for the deployment of SAP’s cloud vision. Previously, Schmitz led global operations and go-to-market strategy at Ariba, which was acquired by SAP, and he worked in the procurement and supply chain groups at Accenture, formerly Andersen Consulting.

Schmitz has more than 20 years of global technology and operations experience in sales, marketing, customer success, strategic consulting, outsourcing, mergers & acquisitions and business development. Schmitz holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arizona and an MBA from The Anderson School at The University of California, Los Angeles.
