Jennifer Ott

Jennifer Ott is an experienced public administrator currently serving as City Manager for the City of Alameda since January 2023. Prior to this role, Jennifer held various positions within the City of Hayward, including Assistant City Manager and Deputy City Manager, from September 2018 to January 2023. Jennifer's extensive experience with the City of Alameda spans over a decade, where roles included Base Reuse and Transportation Planning Director, Chief Operating Officer for Alameda Point, and Deputy City Manager. Earlier in Jennifer's career, experience as Vice-President at Economic & Planning Systems, Inc. was gained from July 2000 to December 2004. Jennifer holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish from the University of California, Davis.
