Andrew Yu

Andrew Yu is an experienced urban and community planner with a strong background in municipal planning and design. Since August 2020, Andrew has been serving as an Urban Design Planner and Community Planner for the City of Burnaby. Prior roles include Development Planner at the City of Coquitlam and Planning Technician positions at the City of North Vancouver. Andrew's early career involved various roles at the City of Richmond, offering experience in customer service and planning support. Additionally, a brief tenure as a CityEngine Technician at elementsLAB further enhanced Andrew's technical skills. Andrew holds a Master of Arts in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of British Columbia.
