Derrick Rainey

Derrick Rainey currently serves as the Mayor of Wrightsville, AR, and has been in this position since January 2023. Additionally, Derrick holds the role of Youth - Student Pastor at Longley Baptist Church since October 2021 and works as a Small Business Development Coordinator for the City of Little Rock. Derrick's experience also includes positions such as Academy Director at ScholarMade Achievement Place and various roles at City Year, including Impact & Learning Coach and Impact Manager. Derrick's background in education includes teaching roles at multiple institutions, with a focus on curriculum design and student supervision. Derrick obtained a Master of Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Morehouse College.
