Jeff Ruster

Jeff Ruster possesses extensive experience in economic development and workforce strategy, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Assistant Director of the Office of Economic Development for the City of San José since January 2003. Ruster also operates as a Small Business and Workforce Consultant for Ann Arbor SPARK and has been the Executive Director for work2future since 2003, overseeing a significant operational budget and client base. Previous roles include Lead Financial Specialist at The World Bank, providing advisory services to government and private sector entities, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, managing a substantial portfolio of economic development initiatives. Ruster holds an M.B.A. in Finance from UCLA and a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University.
