Tara McGowan

Tara McGowan, CHRL, is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience spanning over a decade in various managerial roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Relationship Management (HR Business Partnering) at the City of Toronto since November 2021, Tara previously held significant positions including Human Resources Manager at Ontario Health and Manager of Human Resources at HealthForceOntario. Prior experience also includes managing HR functions at the Town of Essex and serving as the Director of Human Resources at Delta Hotels and Resorts, where oversight of comprehensive HR activities was a key responsibility. Tara's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts, Hons., in English from Carleton University, along with certifications in Change Leadership from Cornell University ILR School and extensive training from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
