Chad Lorenz

Chad Lorenz is an experienced editor currently serving as the Editor In Chief of Votebeat, a newsroom initiative under Chalkbeat, focused on election administration and voting access. Prior to this role, Chad served as the News Editor at Slate Magazine, overseeing news posts and managing the homepage team. Chad also held the position of Managing Editor at Washingtonian magazine, where responsibilities included editing and management at a prominent city magazine. Earlier in Chad's career, a role as a copy editor for the Metro desk at the Washington Post was undertaken. Chad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
