Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical expert in collaborations with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include tailored technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

  • Be responsible for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and channel supported.

  • Provide strategic and tactical advice and develop learning solutions on learning technology systems, including learning management systems (LMS) and other cloud-based technologies to support evolving training requirements and initiatives.

  • Apply specific functional and working and/or general industry knowledge to develop and contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, as needed.

  • Work independently to lead regional operations while reviewing and guiding the activities of junior employees.

  • Requires approximately 10% domestic travel and 15% international travel.

  • Telecommuting is permitted.

Required Experience/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Solutions Engineer or a related role.  

Special Requirements

Work experience with the following: 

  • LTI, Academic Integration Technologies and Standards.

  • API  and Systems Integration Methods.

  • Academic Technologies.

  • Technical Pre-Sales.

  • RFP, RFI and Technical Response Writing Using Specialized Software (RFPIO, Ombud).

  • Systems Integration Scripting and Management using programming languages and tools (Python, CURL, PERL etc).

  • LMS Systems.

  • Technical Documentation and Ticketing Systems (Confluence, JIRA).

  • Zendesk and Support Ticketing Systems.
