Derek Treanor

Derek Treanor is an experienced financial professional with over three decades in various risk management and leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Credit Officer and Head of Business Risk & Credit Services at Virgin Money since December 2016, Derek has previously held significant positions, including Acting Chief Risk Officer at CYBG PLC, Chief Credit Officer at National Australia Group Europe - Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank, and Head of Audit at Clydesdale Bank. Earlier roles include Head of Financial Governance, Head of Planning & Financial Control, and Corporate Credit Executive at Clydesdale Bank, as well as Corporate Recovery Manager at Deloitte UK and Trainee Chartered Accountant at Taylor & Ireland. Derek holds a BA in Accountancy from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a Chartered Accountant.
