Philip Chiang

Philip Chiang is the SVP of Growth & Operations at CafeMedia. Philip has over three years of experience in marketing and growth, with a focus on digital marketing and paid acquisition. Philip has also consulted for various startups on growth marketing. Prior to joining CafeMedia, Philip was the VP of Marketing at SoundCloud, where they were responsible for scaling the company's 50M+ global MAU user base of listeners and audio creators. Philip also launched and scaled a new growth strategy for creators, including new paid acquisition channels, cross-channel CRM lifecycle series, and a marketing funnel on creators.soundcloud.com. Before SoundCloud, Philip was the Vice President, Head of Marketing at MealPal, where they managed all marketing efforts to grow MealPal's consumer base across digital, email, PR, events, product, etc. Philip also launched new markets including Manchester, Melbourne, Denver, and Paris. Philip has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Philip Chiang attended the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business, where they earned their MBA in Economics, Marketing, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship. Philip was a Co-Chair of the Marketing Group and a Co-Founder of the Basketball Group. Philip was also a Finalist in the 2009 Wake Forest MBA Marketing Summit and the 2010 U4 MBA Tourney Champion. Philip attended Boston College, where they earned their B.S. in Finance and Theirpanic Studies. Philip was a Dean's List student and a recipient of the AHANA Bowman Scholar Award, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Spanish Book Award. Philip was also a recipient of the President’s Student Service Award from Amigos de las Américas/World Vision.
