Chris Forster

Chris Forster is an experienced geologist currently serving as a Geological Advisor/Senior Geologist at CNOOC International since July 2023. With a robust background in exploration and geoscience, Chris has held significant roles including Senior Geoscientist and Exploration Manager at Siccar Point Energy from January 2017 to October 2022, and Team Lead for Exploration Assets at OMV between January 2014 and January 2017. Previous positions include Staff Geologist - West Africa at African Petroleum, Senior Geologist roles at NEXEN PETROLEUM U.K. LIMITED and Nexen Exploration Norge AS, and Geologist positions at Encana Corporation and Scott Pickford Limited. Chris holds a PhD in Sedimentology from the University of Southampton and a BSc. Hons. in Geology from Cardiff University.
