Firoj Babariya

Firoj Babariya currently serves as Head of Finance at Co-op, overseeing Strategic Finance & Business Partnering for Co-Op Funeralcare since October 2016, and previously held the role of Head of Financial Planning & Accounting for Co-Op Retail. In these roles, Firoj leads a team focused on Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Decision Support, contributing to a £400m turnover for the funeral services and a £7bn turnover for retail operations across the UK. Prior experience includes serving as Financial Controller at CTP St James Limited, managing a finance team, and overseeing financial statements and tax preparations, as well as a tenure at RSM UK as Transaction Support Manager and Audit Manager, managing client portfolios and staff training. Firoj began the career as an Auditor at Barnes Roffe LLP and holds an ACA qualification from BPP and a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
