Maureen Young is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the nonprofit and corporate sectors, currently serving as a Board Member for Victoria Forum and the BC Co-op Association, as well as an Advisory Committee Member and Co-founder of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project. Since 2002, Maureen has held various leadership positions at Coast Capital Savings, culminating in the role of Vice President, Social Purpose, where responsibilities include shaping the social purpose vision and overseeing sustainability initiatives. Additionally, Maureen is a co-founder and past chair of the Youth Futures Education Fund at United Way BC, aimed at supporting educational opportunities for young adults in government care. Maureen's educational background includes certificates in Corporate Citizenship Leadership and Leadership from Boston College and Coast Capital Savings, respectively, as well as a diploma in Marketing Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
