Lauren Richardson

Chief Procurement Officer at Colgate Palmolive

Lauren Richardson is the current Chief Procurement Officer at Colgate Palmolive. Prior to their current position, Lauren served as the SVP, Chief Procurement Officer at Starbucks from October 2014 to August 2016. During their time at Starbucks, Lauren was responsible for creating and implementing a global sourcing strategy and risk mitigation platform for all direct categories during rapid growth and M&A implementations. Lauren also played a key role in driving process and ideation for achieving aggressive annual savings plans critical to EPS goals. In addition, Lauren developed the first global talent assessment plan and diverse bench process, and launched a supplier development program to drive innovation, investment, plant auditing, reduce concentration and deploy LEAN in top 100 suppliers. Lauren also defined the sourcing technology roadmap and created a business case for prioritization.

Before joining Starbucks, Lauren served as Sr. VP Procurement at L Brands from January 2007 to October 2014. During their time at L Brands, Lauren was accountable for setting strategic direction and driving the implementation of a new centralized global compliance platform for $4B indirect and contract manufacturing platforms. Lauren also successfully implemented disciplined category management activities through stakeholders to create integrated plans and deliver mutual profit goals. In addition, Lauren exceed financial goals every year, addressed significant M&A and economic downturns, and linked results to business unit P&Ls. Lastly, Lauren designed and implemented the procure-to-pay function, and was accountable for certifying quarterly financials.

Lauren Richardson completed a BA in Economics and Accounting at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Lauren Richardson reports to Michael A. Corbo, Chief Supply Chain Officer. They are on a team with Luciano Sieber - VP, Global Supply & Supply Chain Strategy, Gonzalo Canteros Paz - VP, Global Supply Chain, and Warren Pruitt - VP, Global Supply Chain.
