Gretchen Hardman

Gretchen Hardman currently serves as the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives at the College of Southern Maryland, a role initiated in January 2023, focused on evaluating and executing strategic initiatives that align with the college’s mission and vision. Prior experience includes serving as the Southern Maryland Intergovernmental Representative for the Office of Governor Lawrence Hogan from February 2017 to January 2023, acting as a liaison between the Governor's Office and the Southern Maryland region. Additionally, Gretchen was the Executive Director of the Community Foundation for Southern Maryland from September 2006 to February 2017, where efforts centered on promoting philanthropy and community investment. Earlier in her career, from 1999 to 2006, Gretchen worked as a Development Associate at the Alice Ferguson Foundation, focusing on fundraising and community outreach. Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Creative Writing from Spring Hill College, completed in 1992.
