Joyce Thompson

Joyce Thompson currently serves as Executive Director of Instructional Services and Programs at the College of Southern Maryland, overseeing continuing education operations and marketing for non-credit programs while managing a team focused on work-based learning initiatives and grant oversight. With extensive experience in higher education, Joyce has held various roles including Director of Operations and Employee Recruiting Coordinator, showcasing skills in technical solution design, curriculum management, and process improvement. Prior to higher education, Joyce held managerial positions in retail, where responsibilities included sales growth, customer service, and staff development. Joyce holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration specializing in Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a marketing focus from Salisbury University.
