Shannon Broekhoven

Shannon Broekhoven has worked in a variety of software engineering roles since 2012. In 2012, Shannon began as an Application Developer at Communitech, where they helped design and build a web application in Ruby on Rails. In 2013, Shannon worked as a Software Developer at Teledyne DALSA, where they worked in C# and ASP.NET. In 2014, Shannon held Software Developer Coop positions at both IBM and Intuit. At IBM, Shannon built an automated functional test infrastructure using Intern. At Intuit, Shannon worked on a mobile app for both Android and iOS, as well as a web application that complemented ProFile. In 2015, Shannon worked as a Product Prototyper at the D{} Innovation Lab at Deloitte Canada, where they worked on the full stack. In 2016, Shannon worked as an Intermediate Software Developer at Sortable, where they worked on the front end and back end. In 2020, Shannon worked as a Frontend Developer at Shopify, where they prototyped solutions and worked closely with UX to create user experiences. In 2022, Shannon held Senior Fullstack Engineer roles at both Terminal and Brightline. Shannon currently holds a Senior Full Stack Engineer role at CollegeVine.

Shannon Broekhoven attended Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School from 2007 to 2011 and earned an OSSD. From 2011 to 2016, they attended the University of Waterloo and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
