April Cano-Garcia

April Cano-Garcia is an accomplished educator and administrator currently serving as the Director of TRIO Student Support Services Classic & STEM at Colorado State University since November 2022. With a strong background in academic advising, program management, and budget administration, April oversees the Student Support Services STEM unit, developing initiatives aimed at supporting first-generation, low-income students, and those with disabilities. Prior experience includes roles at Aims Community College, the University of Connecticut, and Tulane University, where April managed budgets, supervised staff, and created programming that fosters academic and personal growth. April holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education & Student Affairs and multiple bachelor's degrees in Human Development, Family Studies, and Psychology.
