Tyson Claffey

Tyson Claffey is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in both educational and retail environments. Currently serving as the Director of IT for the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University since June 2013, Tyson has held multiple roles within the institution, including Interim Director of IT and Research IT System Administrator, focusing on Linux server administration for bioinformatics and genomics research. Prior experience includes serving as a Junior System Administrator and IT Technician in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where responsibilities encompassed Microsoft SCCM administration and general IT support for a large user base. Tyson Claffey also held the position of Customer Solutions Manager at Best Buy from August 2003 to June 2013. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine and two associate degrees from Saddleback College in Computer Science and Music Theory and Composition.
