John Gauder

John Gauder has more than 33 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and has been with Comcast for 14 years. He has worked in system, area, region, division and corporate roles with various cable operators.

John currently serves as the Regional Vice President for Comcast California. In this role, he is the senior executive responsible for all Comcast cable operations in California. He leads nearly 5,000 employees and serves more than two million customers, driving annual revenue of over $4 billion.

Prior to his current role, he was the Vice President of Technical Operations. John’s focus has been on improving the customer experience by driving the trouble call rate below 1%, and ensuring quality interactions with our customers.

Before joining the California Region, he served in the Comcast Washington Region for nearly two years as their RVP of Technical Operations, where he led the company in Technical Scorecard performance and Credo scores. John also served as Area Vice President for Nashville and Memphis, TN and had responsibility for all functions in the market.

When not at work, John and his wife, TJ, enjoy biking and hiking. John’s daughter, Ally, recently graduated from college in Nashville, Tennessee.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He completed the Comcast Executive Leadership Forum (ELF) and is certified from the Dartmouth, Tuck School of Business. John is an active member of Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE); serving as the West Division Executive Sponsor of the Out Employee Resource Group; and Executive Committee Chair of the California Cable & Telecommunications Association.
