Aida Rahim

Aida Rahim, Ph.D., currently serves as the Energy Systems Lead at COMET - Community Energy Toolkit and as a Teaching Assistant at Uplimit. Previously, Aida held roles at Loopio, progressing from Data Scientist to Senior Data Scientist and finally to Staff Data Scientist, focusing on machine learning model development for document processing and analytics. Aida's early experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at General Assembly and a Senior Applications Engineer position at Luna Innovations Incorporated, where significant contributions to product development and optimization were made. Earlier career milestones include consulting at InnovationXchange in Malaysia and conducting postdoctoral research at the National University of Singapore. Aida holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering / Bioengineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MEng and BA in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and a Data Science Intensive certification from General Assembly. Technical skills extend across various machine learning methods and data analysis tools, complemented by strong public speaking, communication, and research capabilities.
