Mushahid Akhtar

Mushahid Akhtar has a strong background in software testing and quality assurance. Mushahid is currently working as a Senior QA Engineer at Comgy since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CGI from November 2017 to October 2022 as a Software Test Engineer/Consultant, where they were responsible for testing banking web and mobile apps in Agile methodologies. Mushahid also conducted API testing, sanity testing, functional testing, system testing, business flow testing, vulnerability testing, UAT, and provided production support. Mushahid also handled unit and integration testing.

Before CGI, Mushahid worked at BAYOONET AG as a Software Test Engineer from January 2017 to October 2017. In this role, they participated in daily SCRUM calls, reviewed project updates, and collaborated with various teams. Mushahid also proofed high-level and low-level design documents and wrote test cases for manual testing.

Prior to that, Mushahid worked at SequelMed as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer from December 2012 to August 2014. Here, they conducted black box testing of web applications using Agile methodology and performed API testing using tools like Splunk, Postman, and AppDynamics. Mushahid also created test plans and test cases to ensure thorough testing and validation of data.

Earlier in their career, Mushahid worked at Discretelogix as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer from September 2010 to November 2012. Here, they created test plans and test cases for validating requirements and performed black box testing of web applications. Mushahid also conducted API and database procedure testing using Postman.

Prior to Discretelogix, Mushahid worked as an SQA Engineer at a Medical Transcription and Billing Company from January 2010 to August 2010. In this role, they assisted in designing and implementing policies and procedures for software testing, evaluated software applications, participated in system testing and UAT phases, collaborated with development staff, and managed software test environments.

Mushahid Akhtar pursued their education in the field of Information Technology and Software Engineering. From 2015 to 2018, they attended Technische Universität Darmstadt, where they obtained a degree in Distributed Software Systems. Prior to that, they studied at International Islamic University, Islamabad from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering.
