Kimbal Hall

Kimbal Hall, P.E. serves as the Cryogenic Lead Analyst at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since March 2022. Previously, Kimbal held the position of Principal Engineer at Alden Research Laboratory, Inc. from August 2007 to April 2022, providing consulting expertise in thermal and fluid dynamics, utilizing tools such as ANSYS-Fluent for computational fluid dynamics, alongside conducting experimental laboratory testing and field measurements. Earlier experience includes working as a Propulsion Analysis Engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplanes from January 2005 to April 2007, focusing on thermal and operability analysis of aircraft engine systems with tasks involving aero-thermal CFD and structural thermal finite element analysis. Kimbal holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and UC Santa Barbara, respectively.
