Wayne Saunders

Wayne Saunders is an experienced welding professional with a diverse background in the industry. Currently serving as the Lead Welder at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since January 2022, Wayne previously held the position of R&D Lead Tech/Welder. Prior roles include Technician at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center at MIT and several positions as a pipefitter and welder with companies such as Beacon Piping Company and Frank Lill & Son, Inc. Wayne also served as a Welding Supervisor at WeldTech Services, A BHI Energy Company, from 2010 to 2016. Wayne's education includes a combination welder degree from Training and Development Corp and advanced studies in metallurgy through the American Welding Society.
