Manjula Halai

Manjula Halai is the Director of Membership & Operations at Commonwealth Pharmacists Association. Manjula has over 18 years of experience in the pharmacy industry, including stints as a pharmacy manager, clinical pharmacist, and senior clinical writer.

Halai began their career as a pharmacy manager for Boots UK in 2006. Manjula then transitioned to East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, where they worked as a clinical pharmacist for three years. In 2009, they joined the Royal Pharmaceutical Society as a senior clinical writer for the British National Formulary.

In 2015, Halai left the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to join Wave Healthcare Communications as a Programme Manager. Manjula held this position for just over a year before moving on to Spoonful of Sugar, where they served as Head of Clinical Programmes for two years.

Most recently, Halai has been working as the Strategic Lead - Membership and Engagement for Commonwealth Pharmacists Association since June 2018.

Manjula Halai attended King's College London, where they earned an MPharm (Hons) in Pharmacy. Manjula also attended Brunel University London, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Management. Manjula is certified by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacist.
