Elizabeth L. is an accomplished teaching artist and writer with extensive experience in arts education and literary publishing. Since September 2014, Elizabeth has been affiliated with the Community-Word Project, while also maintaining a writing career as a self-employed professional since September 2011. Elizabeth previously served as a teaching artist at the DreamYard Project from September 2015 to June 2020 and co-founded and co-edited Sixpenny Magazine from April 2014 to November 2015, focusing on illustrated short stories. Prior professional roles include program coordinator at Cicatelli Associates, Inc. and teacher at the NYC Department of Education. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from City St George’s, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing from New York University.
