Valery Fedorov

Deputy CEO, PJSC PhosAgro & Advisor, General Director of Apatit at PhosAgro

Mr. Fedorov was appointed as PhosAgro’s Deputy CEO for Government Relations in 2014. He joined the company in March 2012 as an Advisor to the CEO. Between 2001 and 2012, he was a member of the Federation Council representing the Vologda region, and he served as the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Constitutional Law.

Valery Fedorov worked as the State Secretary, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and Head of the Investigative Committee between 1999 and 2001. He was first appointed as the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in 1995. Prior to this appointment, he headed the Department of Internal Affairs for the Perm Region. Mr. Fedorov began his career as a machine operator at the V.A. Degtarev Plant. He has also has served in the military.

Mr. Fedorov graduated with a law degree from the A. M. Gorky Perm State University in 1969. He also graduated from the Academy of Social Sciences of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1979.

Valery was born in 1943. He is a Militia Colonel-General, holds a PhD in law, has been awarded with the Order for Service to the Fatherland IV Degree, the Order of Merit and the Order of Friendship.
