Itaru Kawakami

Itaru Kawakami (河上達) is an experienced professional in technology and academia, currently serving as a part-time lecturer at Shibaura Institute of Technology since April 2020 and previously at Tokyo Polytechnic University in 2019. With a long-standing leadership role as Chairman at the Institute of FUKAN Technology since February 2014, Itaru has also held positions such as Senior Manager in the Information & Communication Technology Department at Rhelixa Inc. since July 2017 and Director at Turbo Data Laboratories Inc. from November 2014 to October 2019. Notably, Itaru's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at Sony Corporation from April 1983 to January 2014 where management of various technology development projects was undertaken. Itaru's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Space Engineering from The University of Tokyo and research experience in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
