Joan Boyce

Joan Boyce has over 30 years of experience in the life science and healthcare industries. In 1984, they began their career as a Lab Manager at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Joan then moved to North Shore University Hospital Research Center in 1987, where they worked as a Lab Manager and gained expertise in molecular biology and cell culture research techniques. In 1989, they became a Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Trainer at Boehringer Mannheim Corporation. In 1994, they returned to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory as a Publisher and created a new profit center. This eventually spun-off to become BioSupplyNet, Inc., a Sciquest.com company, where they served as Vice President and Cofounder from 1996-2000. Joan then joined Reed Business Information as a Group Publisher from 2000-2005. From 2005-2012, they worked for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News as Executive Director and Group Publisher. In 2012, they joined CompareNetworks as Publisher of Biocompare and then became Vice President and General Manager of Biocompare in 2013. Joan currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience at the University of Florida, a position they have held since 2016.

Joan Boyce attended Bucknell University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a B.A. in Animal Behavior and studied Biology/Psychology.
