James Hansen

VP, Risk Management at Compassion International

James Hansen is the current Vice President of Risk Management at Compassion International. James has over 18 years of experience in auditing and construction management. Prior to joining Compassion International, Mr. Hansen was the Principal Auditor for the Construction and Performance Audit Group at the City of Colorado Springs. In this role, they managed audits of large capital construction projects and conducted fraud investigations. Mr. Hansen also worked as an Owner's Representative for Farmers Insurance, where they oversaw the construction of a Call Center in Kansas City and helped plan and locate a site for a second call center. Mr. Hansen is a highly-skilled auditor and construction manager with a proven track record of success.

James Hansen has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Sam Houston State University. James also has a certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in CPA (inactive). James is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Improving Performance Measures for Non-Profits from Harvard Business School.

James Hansen reports to Santiago Mellado, President & Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Palamanga Ouali - VP, Africa Region, Ian Hamilton - Regional VP, Compassion International - EMEA, and Sidney Muisyo - SVP, Global Program.
