From shop floor to executive suite, printroom to boardroom. Steven Capper’s rags-to-riches style rise from a coal mining village in Yorkshire he embarked on a Margaret Thatcher-inspired Youth Training Scheme in 1980s Britain. Over the next 30 years, Steven has propelled through a succession of exalted job titles and on to the higher echelons of the corporate world. Steven’s career in IT has spanned the Globe, living and working in Leeds, London, Dubai, Los Angeles, Netherlands and Montreal.

He is the Chief information Officer of SNC Lavalin Group a large Engineering and Professional Services company with a turnover of 6Bn and 53,000 employees. To coin a business phrase, he is one of life’s high flyers. Steven has won many awards including the CIO of the Year with Computing UK and ‘3x Silver Medal CIO of the Year’ in the prestigious UK IT Industry Awards. He has a track record of delivering complex transformations for large enterprises including Fortune 150 companies. He has a Proven ability to recruit, develop and lead large, successful IT teams. Well networked with a solid track record in creating and delivering ingenious business transformational projects that exceed stakeholder expectations, he also led IT for the largest Merger and Acquisition in the AEC space including 100,000 personnel. On top of all this, Steven has been a driving force across large scale innovation projects with the potential to unlock revenue of 120Bn+. When he actually has the time, he is a keen golfer and working hard to lower his handicap.
