In her new position, Thoms will oversee the company’s product, operations, and marketing teams.
Thoms initially joined connectRN in May 2019 and most recently had served as the company’s Head of Product. Prior to joining connectRN, she held multiple roles at athenahealth, a leading provider of network-enabled services and mobile apps for medical groups and health systems, including Senior Product Manager and Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer.
In a press release, connectRN CEO Matt Levesque said, “More than technology, our product is the full experience we deliver to nurses and the community they build together. Maddie covers a cross-functional domain to deliver a truly differentiated path for nurses. We see the context of nurses and build solutions that serve them holistically.”
Thoms stated, “Nurses and nursing assistants are the backbone of the health care industry. While they give so much to their patients, they have been long underserved by the system. At connectRN, we’re defining a new path that supports these caregivers now and throughout their career. I am inspired to break down hurdles that come in the way of these nurses, whether the challenges are logistical, emotional, or financial. We’re here for them.”
