David P. Marks

David P. Marks, CFA is an Independent Director on Conning’s Board of Directors and an outside Senior Advisor to Conning’s Chair and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Marks is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for CUNA Mutual Group, and President of MEMBERS Capital Advisors. Mr. Marks joined CUNA Mutual Group from Citigroup Insurance Investments, where he was Chief Investment Officer and Senior Executive Vice President. Prior to his work with Citigroup, he was the Chief Investment Officer of CIGNA Corporation, Before CIGNA he was President and Chief Investment Officer for Allianz of America. Mr. Marks specialized in fixed income securities (public and private) and is a recognized leader and investor in alternative assets. Mr. Marks serves on the Investment Committee of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Mr. Marks earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Connecticut. He also earned an executive MBA from the Tuck Business School at Dartmouth College. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
