Alan Montgomery

Alan Montgomery is an experienced expert guide at Context Travel, specializing in leading private group tours of significant London sites, including the British Museum and Tate Modern, since June 2016. Previously, Alan served as a tutor at The Brilliant Club, providing university-style courses based on personal PhD research in various London schools from June 2014 to February 2017. Alan completed a PhD in Classics and Classical Languages at Birkbeck, University of London, where research focused on early modern attitudes toward Roman Scotland. Additional experience includes working as a senior specialist in contemporary art at Bonhams from October 2007 to September 2013 and educational achievements that include a Master’s degree in Classical Civilisation and a Master’s degree in the History of Art from the University of Glasgow.
