Thomas Overvad

Thomas Overvad serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at VKR Holding since April 2004, specializing in financial investments, asset allocation, and ESG/sustainability. In addition, Thomas holds the position of CEO at SolarCap and is a Board Member of Finansforeningen og CFA Society Denmark, contributing to the Society's growth from 100 to nearly 1700 members. As an External Examiner at Copenhagen Business School and other Danish universities, Thomas ensures the quality of business education. Previous experience includes CIO roles at VILLUM FONDEN and Lundbeckfonden, where Thomas managed diverse investment portfolios, and leadership positions at Nykredit Bank and Unibank/Privatbanken, focusing on derivatives and fixed income sales. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a strategic management course at INSEAD, along with ongoing studies at Singularity University and expertise in ESG through a certification from CFA UK.
