Lizbeth was born in Mexico City. She is proud of her background as she comes from a humble and hardworking immigrant family. She is determined to give back to the community the support that she and her family have received since they settled in Healdsburg, 20 years ago. As a mother of two, she believes in the importance of education and parental involvement, which is why she has been involved with the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) in Healdsburg schools for many years learning and helping other parents develop leadership skills to advocate for their children. In January 2019, Lizbeth became a full-time employee at Corazón Healdsburg while she attended SRJC as a part-time student, intending to become a psychologist. She has been able to help and support several families through the different programs that she has supervised in the last two years at Corazón and now as Program Coordinator, Parent Support; she is providing parents and families with resources and tools so they can support their children's academic development.
