Karin E. Olson Hoal

Karin E. Olson Hoal is a distinguished scholar and professional with extensive experience in geology and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Science, Technology and Innovation at CSIRO and the Wold Family Professor in Environmental Balance for Human Sustainability at Cornell University, Olson Hoal is also the Principal of Karin Olson Hoal Consulting, LLC, focusing on value-based solutions for the minerals industry. Previous roles include Research Professor and Director at the Colorado School of Mines, Senior Consultant at JK Tech Pty Ltd, and Director of Administrative Services at Hazen Research, Inc. Olson Hoal's education includes a PhD and MSc in Geology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and McGill University, respectively, as well as a BSc in Geology from St. Lawrence University.
