Qirui Long is currently a PhD student at Cornell University, focusing on Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering. Previously, Qirui served as a Solution Project Research Assistant at Stanford University, where responsibilities included reviewing literature on offshore wind energy, analyzing GIS layers, and generating guidelines for offshore wind farm economics. As a CCS Research Assistant at Stanford, Qirui developed a subsurface CO2 injection database, while also contributing as a Teaching Assistant and Course Grader for environmental engineering courses. Qirui's research experience began at the University of California, Davis, maintaining climate datasets and estimating carbon fluxes in the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta for an honor thesis. In addition, Qirui has practical experience in curriculum design and leadership through previous roles, including President of the ACE Club. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree from Stanford University in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis in Environmental Science and Management.
