Kit Thorpe

Kit has over 20 years of experience providing accounting, auditing and valuation services to public and private companies ranging from development stage to Fortune 500. She has worked with clients in the financial services, manufacturing, software, technology and energy industries. Kit is a Partner serving Connecticut region clients.

Kit has extensive experience with mergers/acquisitions, divestitures, equity offerings, debt restructurings, valuation matters, impairment assessments, leasing, goodwill accounting, cost accounting, internal control assessments and IPO readiness.

Prior to joining CFGI, Kit held roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently she was the Internal Audit Leader for a late stage start up company, where she established an internal audit charter, department and plan; was the project leader for the implementation of a new inventory management system and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition implementation. During her ten year tenure at GE Capital, Kit was the Managing Director of Valuations for the largest division of GE Capital and previous to that the Technical Controller for the largest division of GE Capital. As the MD of Valuations Kit was responsible for establishing and enforcing valuation policies and procedures for the lending, leasing and equity books for each asset class including Equity, Real Estate, Rail Cars, Trucks and Timber properties. As the Technical Controller, Kit was responsible for the most technical accounting issues escalated by the businesses within the division. Kit began her career spending ten years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as part of the assurance team on a wide range of clients from financial services to manufacturing.

Kit is a graduate of Simmons College with a BA in Accounting and Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Connecticut.
