Cara McCauley

Herbicide Screening Leader, Crop Protection Discovery & Development at Corteva

Cara McCauley currently serves as the Herbicide Screening Leader in Crop Protection Discovery & Development at Corteva Agriscience since September 2018. Prior to this role, Cara was a Herbicide Biologist in the same department and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University from August 2014 to August 2018, where extensive research focused on the auxin herbicide mode of action and its efficacy. Cara also contributed as a Teaching Assistant for Introductory Weed Science, receiving the Purdue Teaching Academy Graduate Teaching Award for excellence in teaching. Earlier experience includes an Undergraduate Researcher role at Cornell University in maize resistance and an internship in Discovery Biology at Dow AgroSciences, where investigation of synthetic auxin compounds was conducted. Cara holds a Ph.D. in Weed Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Engineering and Plant Science from Cornell University.
