Eric Qian

Eric Qian is a skilled data scientist with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Data Scientist in Machine Learning at Coterra Energy since September 2024. Prior roles include Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at Pioneer Natural Resources Company, where expertise in data science, statistical modeling, and operational efficiency was honed through projects involving database architecture, time-series analysis, and hybrid cloud solutions. Earlier experience includes data engineering at Kayrros, data science roles at Apache Corporation, and internships involving data analysis and engineering. Eric holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance, an MS in Data Science and Analytics, and dual Bachelor degrees in Petroleum Engineering (Honors) and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and participated in a summer exchange program at Peking University.
