Julie Jeakle

Julie Jeakle serves as the Acting Director of the Office of Emergency Services at the County of San Diego, with extensive experience in emergency management, disaster planning, and cross-functional team leadership. Since April 2015, Julie has directed strategic initiatives and developed performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency and accountability within public safety. Previous roles include Emergency Services Coordinator for the City of Carpinteria, where emergency management operations were aligned with municipal priorities, and Regional Director of Community Services at the American Red Cross Central California Region, overseeing large teams and driving process improvements across multiple facilities. Julie holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Dayton and an M.A. in Anthropology from New Mexico State University.
