Oliver Wichmann

Oliver Wichmann is an experienced professional in chemical engineering, currently serving as the Deputy Operations Manager for Makrolon UER at Covestro since September 2015. With a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency, Wichmann supports the plant manager in leading a team of over 125 employees and managing complex production processes. Previous roles include Process & Plant Safety Expert and Project Manager at Covestro, where responsibilities included leading safety reviews and managing brownfield engineering projects with budgets up to 2.5 million euros. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Engineer at Bayer and INEOS, where Wichmann also led interdisciplinary project teams and oversaw project planning and controlling. Wichmann holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Hochschule Niederrhein, as well as an apprenticeship as a Plant Operator from INEOS Köln.
